Allo, Wrimos!
And welcome to the first comic of NaNoToons 2016!
You must forgive me, I am running into a few problems with the nanotoons domain name. I tried to remap it, but the button to purchase will not work. Yay technology. 😀
Anyway, once again, as I mentioned in the previous post, I have Kari Maaren editing these webcomics. She is an author, has a webcomic, and writes geeky songs as well!
Oh! And I have a question for you folks!
How do you read the comic? Do you read it off the website? Facebook? Twitter? Some other social media site?
Thanks for answering! ^_^

NaNoToons 2016 – Starting Oct 16th

I’m getting this question a few times, so I figured I would answer it. Will there be NaNoToons this year? Of course!

I will once again ask Kari Maaren of It Never Rains to help me edit the webcomics because unlike my own personal comics, I try to have the spelling and grammar correct. Kari is awesome for that.
One thing I will ask of you if you like the comic. Can you share it with your friends? Normally, I’ve never really tried to promote NaNoToons, however I hear two things:
a) How did I not know this was a thing?
b) I didn’t know you were still doing this!
And it’s my failing because I don’t go out of my way to promote it! If you feel so inclined, please share it with friends. Multiple times, in fact!
However, no guilt! I’ll still be happily plugging away at them. ^_^
I hope you guys have a great October and I’ll see you again on October 16th!

HUZZAH! Congratulations! Whether you made it to 50k or not, you know, we made it through another November! Wow! For those of you new to NaNoToons, WELCOME! I hope you enjoyed your time here! Despite all my complaining, I enjoy this little cast of characters!
And for all of you who are still around after all these years, thank you! It’s my fifth year of NaNoToons. My 10th year of NaNoWriMo. Wow. A lot of you have stuck with us since the beginning! I do read and appreciate all your comments, although I don’t get around to responding to all of them. So thanks again!
And all of this thanks to Debbie Ridpath Ohi. I think I was the one who asked to do collabs and she let me help her with NaNoToons. And then, as her life became busy with fame, I took over. Thanks, Debbie Ohi! ^_^ (She’s going to kill me for that last part).
I must say thanks to Kari for editing the comics. There are a few comics I still need to update with edits. They were the comics I finished and posted way past either of our bedtimes. Hah. Adjective word phrases are hyphened. Who knew. I mean, other than you people well versed in English.
Anyway, Kari is great and she puts up with me. Imagine that I’m a little bit like Rick from NaNoMusical, or a little bit like Rob, or a little bit like Tala. That’s what she puts up with. She’s a trooper! If you are interested in webcomics, she has her own, It Never Rains. It has a plot and has won awards!
I also have a webcomic called My Neighbor Errol. It has not won any awards, has no plot, and pretty much is about me and my family.
And I love to chat on twitter, so if you want to, talk to me at http://twitter.com/elumir!
Again, thank you! I hope you have a great holiday, and I’ll see you next year!

Final day, folks. Final day. I had a chance to catch up on writing yesterday! Huzzah! AND, I caught up on NaNoToons. 😀 Hah! So, there should be no errors because I was able to get them to Kari in time! These last few comics were going up in the wee hours in the morning. Good grief. I wish you all well! Final comic for this year is tomorrow!

I was talking with my friend Manpans, you may know her from the NaNoMusical as ‘Val’, and she was saying all word wars feel like this to her. It’s good to know I have an introvert friend to source for realism. 😀
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! And we have FOUR DAYS!

Picking authors for this was hard. I was going to include a manga author as well, but I figured the ones I chose were already so esoteric most people wouldn’t get all of them. I probably could have made Neil Gaiman’s hair more poofy. 🙂
And huzzah! Facebook likes has surpassed 1100! It was at 1099 for such a long time. Not that I worry about likes, I just wanted round numbers. Of course it’s at 1101 but that’s ok.
