2013 – November #1

Errol: I realized that I made a mistake in yesterday’s comic. “Hello and welcome the Nanowrimo Kickoff Party!” And none of you pointed it out? You are welcome to, by the way, I don’t mind people correcting me. *laugh* The most viewed comic of this year, and of course I made a mistake. Wouldn’t you know it?
And huzzah! IT’S NOVEMBER 1st! And did I write at midnight last night? No. In fact, I may have gone to bed at 11pm. So much for 1667 words today (gig tonight, no writing for today).
Victoria: I really feel like I should say something inspiring here about Day 1, but AAAAHHH I need to write! EVERYONE GO WRITE. YAY!
However, just to leave you with some music…

  1. I think we all have NaNo brains, and that’s why we didn’t notice it. (Even me, though I can’t do NaNo -sobcrysob-)
The weather today is complete pathetic fallacy for me. It’s windy, cold, and dark, just like my NaNo-less heart.

  2. Ah… I thought the ‘welcome the Nanowrimo Kickoff Party’ was a reference to Rob’s welcome man role last year (is he still doing that by the way?)
Joking xD I didn’t notice it myself.

  3. You know, I noticed the “I’m not done my outline,” line, but not the mistake you mentioned. I did not point out the outline thing though, because I remember someone talking like that in the musical, and decided it must be a Canada thing.
Somehow I feel like Jen shouldn’t be poking at Rob like that, since he almost didn’t even do it this year! It’s hard forgoing those distractions to write.

  4. Well technically Jen said, “I’m not done my outline!” which should be ‘I’m not done with my outline!’ or ‘I haven’t done my outline!”
Now, to stop procrastinating and write an epic fight scene… Already.

  5. Reblogged this on Nina C. Hasse and commented:
Ihr Lieben. es ist der 1. November, was bedeutet, dass die Untoten in ihre Grüfte zurückgekehrt sind. Doch heißt es noch mehr? Aber ja! It’s NaNo-Time!

  6. I had to work today, so naturally I did my writing at work. I left early so I could set up the basement for tomorrow, so I got most of my daily goal done. I finished off, and then some once I got home. I’m going to a write-in tonight, so I should be pretty well set for the weekend. LOL I love being a panster.

  7. I’ve already written 5,625 words, so I can actually procrastinate tomorrow without feeling guilty. *bragging dance* But good luck with your novel! I’ll probably start slacking off at some point next week…. Keep writing. Don’t be like me and decide to take a few days off of writing.

  8. Funny, I didn’t notice that typo. Funnier still is that no one else seemed to catch it either…
Love the comic, as usual. 🙂 I felt just like Rob for the first five minutes after midnight…but my excitement got the best of me, and I plunged headfirst into my story. Got 10k written on the first day, a new record for me! So exciting! 😀
Good luck with your novel, Errol! I’m sure you’ll find the time to work on it tomorrow (or, technically, today). 🙂

  9. Oh, *that* omission — leaving out a “to” between “welcome” and “the”? Personally I’d put it beside the Neil Armstrong “one small step” quote; sometimes words just aren’t necessary. (Mind you, try saying that to Nano-ers working on upping their word count.)
